As we continue to grow and make impactful investments, we are seeking a Finance Associate (f/m/d) to join and strengthen the Finance Team.
Position Overview
We are searching for an enthusiastic Finance Associate to assist in helping professionalize the Controlling processes in place, overseeing our financial accounting activities, and provide support in managing the day-to-day financial operation. This role will offer a valuable opportunity for professional growth and hands-on experience in the world of venture capital finance working directly with our Finance Lead and Managing Partners.
Key responsibilities
- Administering the firm's fund vehicles, including capital call and distribution processes
- Collaborate closely with the tax advisory team to assist in pre-accounting using DATEV, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and analysis of monthly and annual accounting statements
- Support the creation of quarterly reports for Limited Partners
- Facilitate daily accounting responsibilities, including processing bank transfers, overseeing expense approvals, and managing the organization and filing of invoices and contracts
- Drive ongoing improvement and streamlining of accounting and controlling procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Preparation of the Capnamic advisory board & shareholder documents as well as meetings
- Annual and medium-term planning for our funds and further development of the tools used for this purpose
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in Finance, preferably within the Venture Capital or Private Equity sector
- Proficient in using DATEV for pre-accounting and accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely preparation and analysis of monthly and annual accounting statements
- Analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, portfolio companies, and external partners
- A high affinity for digital processes and common financial software solutions, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication across all levels of the organization
- Hands-on approach, eager to assume a significant level of responsibility from day one within a collaborative team environment
- Fluent in both German and English
