As we continue to grow and make impactful investments, we are seeking a Finance Associate (f/m/d) to join and strengthen the Finance Team.
Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Associate with a lot of room for manoeuvre and a steep learning curve. Together with Nathalie, our Head of Finance, and the Managing Partners of the fund, you will be responsible for the continuous development of the fund structure and strategy, the professionalisation of controlling processes, the monitoring of our financial accounting and support in the administration of day-to-day financial operations.
Key responsibilities
- Annual and medium-term planning for our funds and further development of the tools used for this purpose
- Administer the firm's fund vehicles, including capital call and distribution processes
- Collaborate closely with the tax advisory team to assist in pre-accounting using DATEV, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and analysis of monthly and annual accounting statements
- Support the creation of quarterly reports for Limited Partners
- Facilitate daily accounting responsibilities, including processing bank transfers, overseeing expense approvals, and managing the organization and filing of invoices and contracts
- Drive ongoing improvement and streamlining of accounting and controlling procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Preparation of the Capnamic advisory board & shareholder documents as well as meetings
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with experience in Finance, preferably within the venture capital or private equity sector
- Analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, portfolio companies, and external partners
- A high affinity for digital processes and common financial software solutions, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication across all levels of the organization
- Hands-on approach, eager to assume a significant level of responsibility from day one within a collaborative team environment
- Fluent in both German and English
